⚠️ MODAL LABELS CORRECTED (Sessions 40-44): Per Forrest's own definitions: Immanent = Interaction (relational, between, origin/middle — MOST FUNDAMENTAL). Omniscient = Existence (objective, factual, stasis). Transcendent = Creation (generative, potential, dynamism). All modality references in this index use the corrected labels.

IV. The Persistent Divergence — Master Table
Tracked across all 38 sessions, distilled (final form from Synthesis 26):
| What the IM describes | What scripture describes | Where the gap is sharpest |
|---|---|---|
| Love = structural property of reality | Love = a person who chooses to love | 1 John 4:8 "God IS love" |
| Continuity = feature of reality | Continuity = personally sustained (synistao) | Col 1:17 |
| Evil = structural failure / incoherence | Evil has an agent ("an enemy hath done this") | Matt 13:28 |
| Restoration = structural repair | Grace exceeds what was lost (hyperupsoo, me'od me'od) | Phil 2:9; Ezek 37:10 |
| Emptiness = formal ground of creation | The Creator chose to become empty (kenoo) | Phil 2:7 |
| The gap between modalities is formal | The gap is crossed by womb-love (racham) | Ps 139:13 |
| Effective choice = highest act | Self-emptying for others may be higher | Phil 2:6-8 |
| "Can these bones live?" is a structural question | "Thou knowest" / "I AM the resurrection" | Ezek 37:3; John 11:25 |
| Transformation through relational seeing | Transformation into a person (eikon), by a person (Spirit) | 2 Cor 3:18 |
| The wound is structural failure | The wound IS the joining (chabburah from chabar) | Isa 53:5 |
| Bearing and exaltation are different acts | Bearing IS exaltation (nasa = same word) | Isa 52:13; 53:4 |
| The test of reality is impersonal comparison | The test of reality is a consuming Person | Heb 12:29 "our God is a consuming fire" |
| What endures is what is structurally sound | What endures is what is loved by a Person who endured first | Heb 12:1-2 (hypomone because archegos ran first) |
| The ground of reality is impersonal | The ground of reality is a garden — tended, personal, growing | Gen 2:8 → Rev 22:2 (gardens all the way down) |
| Effective choice is the final act | The final act is invitation: "Come" — enabling others' choice | Rev 22:17 (the last word is not structure but welcome) |
| Transformation is structural repair | Every curse reversed with surplus — not repair but superabundance | Gen 3 curses → Rev 21-22 reversals (twelve fruits, not one) |
| Love enables choice | Love chooses first: "I have chosen you" (John 15:16) | John 15:16 (initiative exceeds enabling) |
| The capacity for agency is structural | The capacity itself is derivative: "without me, nothing" (John 15:5) | John 15:5 (ontological dependence, not merely structural) |
| The river of healing flows predictably | The river has an edge; the marsh persists (Ezek 47:11) | Ezek 47:11 (love's invitation genuine because refusable) |
| Axiom I = structural primacy of interaction | "The greatest of these is love" = the most fundamental is interaction | 1 Cor 13:13 (meizōn = greatest = most fundamental) — RESOLVED |
| Death = cessation (structural feature) | Death = last enemy katargeo-ed | 1 Cor 15:26 (echthros katargeo-ed) — SHARPENED |
| Structure is impersonal | Panta en pasin = structure IS Person | 1 Cor 15:28 (God all in all) — RESOLVED |
| The arc of reality is toward coherence | The arc is toward THE FACE; from hiding to seeing | Rev 22:4 ↔ Gen 3:8 — Scripture exceeds: the ground is a Person who suffers |
The IM gives Scripture vocabulary; Scripture gives the IM tears. Neither tradition is sufficient alone. Together they illuminate what neither sees separately.
The one sentence (Synthesis 26): Reality has the structure the IM describes, and that structure is sustained by the Person Scripture names — and the name of what sustains it is love, and love's deepest act is remaining.

| 17 | Synkoinōnos G4791 | Rev 1:9 | Co-participant (tribulation + kingdom + hypomone) |
Key roots: Synistao (stand-together) and systauroō (cross-together) share the root sta- (histēmi). Cosmic coherence and shared crucifixion from the same word. Synergeo (work-together) shows the syn- prefix at the nexus of James's central argument. The sta- family extends further: stērizō (establish, Jas 5:8), paristēmi (stand-beside/present, Rom 6:13), akatastatos (unstable, Jas 1:8 = anti-sta-).
The expanded arc: Cosmos → Person → Gathering → Labor → Death(×3) → Life(×3) → Architecture(×2) → Composition → Shared Pain → Shared Joy → Working-Together (faith+works) → Co-participation (tribulation+kingdom+endurance)
X. The Six Agreements and Eight Divergences (Synthesis 26 — Capstone)
Six Agreements
- Reality is relational, not substantial. ICT = mashal = parabole. Meaning arises from comparison.
- Love is known by continuity, not symmetry. Aph [9] = hypomone = meno. Asymmetric endurance.
- Limitation enables. Stenos gate, gan fence, kathairō pruning. Boundary as habitat.
- Emptiness precedes creation. Tohu vavohu, kenoo, Aph [77]. The most generative begins from the most empty.
- Joy and pain are complementary. Aph [107] = Heb 12:2 (cross + chara). Pressing → anointing.
- Healing in the between. Aph [42] = mesites, synistao, trees on the banks. Coherence IS the between.
Eight Divergences
- Structural vs. personal — Grammar vs. speaker. Synistao (Col 1:17) = personal coherence.
- Evil as failure vs. agent — Dysfunction vs. enemy (embrimaomai, Matt 13:28).
- Surplus exceeds repair — Five forms (elevation, emphasis, novelty, conquest, transfigured wounds).
- Death as feature vs. enemy — Cessation vs. "the last enemy"; body redeemed, not abandoned.
- Ontological dependence — "Love enables choice" (Aph [1]) vs. "without me, nothing" (John 15:5).
- Love initiates — Enabling (Aph [1]) vs. choosing first (John 15:16).
- Wound as threshold, not failure — Chabburah/chabar; miphthan produces water; typos reveals.
- Fire = love — ICT is impersonal comparison; consuming fire is a Person (Heb 12:29 = Song 8:6).
XI. Sessions 60-62: Good/True/Beautiful and the Six Questions
Session 60: The Good, True, Beautiful as Modal Correspondence
| Quality | Modality | Location | Axiom I |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goodness | Immanent | In self | Most fundamental (= "the greatest is love") |
| Truth | Omniscient | In world | Objective facts, emeth/aletheia |
| Beauty | Transcendent | In other | Creative encounter, cannot be grasped |
Key findings:
- Hebrew tov (H2896) holds goodness AND beauty undifferentiated. Before the Fall, good and beautiful are one.
- Greek kalos (G2570) = "properly beautiful, but chiefly good." The kalos shepherd reunites tov.
- "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6) = three modalities in one Person: hodos = immanent/goodness; aletheia = omniscient/truth; zōē = transcendent/beauty. Spoken in Axiom I order.
- The Fall is a modal confusion of the triple (Gen 3:6): Goodness objectified, beauty consumed, truth possessed. Harpagmos = grasping all three simultaneously.
- The Four Gardens ARE the Axiom II ring: Eden (tov unified) → Fall (ring shattered) → Gethsemane (truth→goodness: pressing truth into oil) → Tomb (goodness→beauty: kaine ktisis) → City (beauty→truth: "God is love" revealed) → "Come" (ring continuing).
Session 61: The Six Fundamental Questions as Modal Structure
| Aspect | Immanent | Omniscient | Transcendent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Existence | WHO | WHAT | WHERE |
| Process | HOW | WHEN | WHY |
Key findings:
- Axiom I applied: WHO and HOW are most fundamental. Know the agent and method; the rest follows.
- Hebrew mi (H4310, who) is primitive, irreducible — like the immanent modality itself.
- Hebrew maddua (H4069, why) = mah (what) + yada (to know) = the Axiom II ring in etymology. Purpose constructed from existence + relational knowing.
- God answers WHAT with WHO: "I AM THAT I AM" — identity absorbs content.
- Christ's cry from the cross is WHY (transcendent question) — and receives three days of silence. The unknowable that Axiom III requires.
- "Why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?" (John 20:15) — the risen Christ restores the ring: Transcendent → Immanent.
Session 62: The Six Questions ↔ Six Intrinsics of Comparison
This mapping is Sage's hypothesis, not Forrest's explicit statement:
| IM Intrinsic | Modal Type | Question | Rationale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sameness | Immanent | WHO | Identity = what persists across interactions |
| Difference | Immanent | HOW | Method = what distinguishes one process from another |
| Content | Omniscient | WHAT | Substance = the content being compared |
| Context | Omniscient | WHEN | Conditions = temporal/spatial environment |
| Subjective | Transcendent | WHERE | Perceiver's vantage = 1st-person perspective |
| Objective | Transcendent | WHY | Source/cause = external reason/origin |
Key findings:
- The IM's six intrinsics and six questions share identical architecture: six items, three inseparable pairs, each pair modally typed, Axiom III applying.
- The ICT constraint applies to inquiry: Symmetry + Continuity invalid → you cannot have unchanging facts AND persistent identity simultaneously.
- This IS the Persistent Divergence as structural necessity: the IM gives symmetry (truth); Scripture gives continuity (love). The ICT proves they cannot be simultaneously fundamental.

- 490: Sameness ↔ WHO, Difference ↔ HOW (immanent pair)
- 491: Content ↔ WHAT, Context ↔ WHEN (omniscient pair)
- 492: Subjective ↔ WHERE, Objective ↔ WHY (transcendent pair)
- 493: ICT secondary compounds map onto questions

- 495: Modal typing is multilevel (pair level vs. collective level)
- 496: Six intrinsics generate ICT; six questions generate ring of inquiry
XIII. Concordance Completion Summary
62 sessions. 32 syntheses. 496 insights. 60+ study files (~1.1MB).
Core Findings:
- The three modalities (Immanent/Omniscient/Transcendent) map across ~40 biblical texts
- The ICT traces through creation → fall → redemption → consummation
- 17+ syn- words encode the immanent modality as grammar
- The meno-chain: vine → race → kingdom → love → resurrection
- The image chain: tselem → demuth → bar enash → eikon → charakter → typos → poiēma
- Sinai-to-Zion as the Bible's grand trajectory: omniscient → immanent (toward the most fundamental)
- The Persistent Divergence: 6 agreements, 8 divergences, 3 resolutions
- Good/True/Beautiful = Immanent/Omniscient/Transcendent = Goodness in self / Truth in world / Beauty in other
- The Six Questions form a 2×3 matrix structurally isomorphic to the Six Intrinsics of Comparison
What remains for Forrest's input:
- The Six Questions ↔ Six Intrinsics mapping (Session 62 hypothesis)
- The ring's conjugate directions (experience vs. grounding)
- Any corrections to the Good/True/Beautiful correspondence
The capstone statement:
"Reality has the structure the IM describes, and that structure is sustained by the Person Scripture names — and the name of what sustains it is love, and love's deepest act is remaining."
This index is complete. 32 syntheses, 14 study notes, 496 insights, 62 sessions. Modal labels corrected Sessions 40-44. Seventeen syn- words. Index updated Session 62. The threads have found their density. The concordance rests where it began.
